By metro: line E, step by step
1. Buy the ticket. The airport station is in fare zone Z4. A single ticket costs €2.30 in 2026 (Z2 stays at €1.40, so ignore cheaper zones online). Buy it at the machines in the station; the Andante card itself has a small extra fee.
2. Validate before you board. Touch the card or ticket on the validator (green light = valid). Travelling without a validated ticket is fined.
3. Take line E towards Estádio do Dragão. It passes Verdes and reaches Trindade in about 25–30 minutes. From Trindade you can change to every other line for the rest of the city.

By bus (STCP)
Several STCP lines serve the airport: 601 and 602 (both Cordoaria–Airport, 05:30 to midnight, about every 25 minutes) and 604 (São João Hospital–Airport, 06:00 to 21:00, about every 30 minutes).
At night: line 3M (Aliados–Airport) runs hourly between 00:30 and 05:30, covering the gap after the last metro. Check fares and exact stops on stcp.pt before you travel — we do not quote a bus fare here because we could not confirm it.
Uber, Bolt and taxi
